Location

Brisbane is the capital city of Queensland – Australia’s second largest state by area. In addition to being the third most populous city in Australia, it’s a positive attitude and creative confidence that makes Brisbane a genuine new-world city. It maintains a youthful enthusiasm and has what is arguably the most vibrant, laid back and friendliest atmosphere of any east- coast Australian capital city.

Manly, on the shores of Moreton Bay is just 20 minutes from Brisbane’s CBD and is famous for it’s harbour village precinct and dedicated sailing and boating community.

The Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron

With a history dating back to 1885, The Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron facilities now include some 600 marina berths, 160 trailer boat parking spaces, repair and maintenance hardstand, boat retrieval facilities and launching ramps, plus a ‘down the bay’ facility at Canaipa on Russell Island.

2018 also represents the 25th Anniversary of The Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron hosting the Etchells World Championships. We plan to formulate a significant event that encompasses the community of Manly.
